Trumpies get the wall, then dodge legal Mexican cholo hector and his posse in public because they know Hector and his boys thought the wall was Racist. Plenty of legal hectors here and they will be mad about it. Didn’t that kind of go out the window when Republicans passed that bill allowing victims of 9/11 to sue Iran? The one where they overrode Obama’s veto and then complained that Obama didn’t warn them that it would open the U.S. and its troops up to legal action by OTHER countries (literally the reason Obama said he was vetoing it)?Funny how the media has to say Mexicans instead of just saying illegals. Who cares where they are from. Of course, they are going to be Mexican because they are our neighbouring country that crosses illegally. It’s no different if Canada was a sh**hole of a country they would do the same thing. Americans are killed by illegal immigrants on a daily basis with no recourse for them. These border patrols put their lives on the line when illegals throw rocks to harm them. How fair is to allow them to sue? We printed in first grade, learned cursive and were graded on penmanship! We were taught Palmer method and most of us have beautiful handwriting today. Kids should.learn to write, read a clock and learn Roman numerals. Cursive is important. In fact, learning to write in cursive is shown to improve brain development in the 60 years of The Beatles signatures shirt of thinking, language and working memory. Cursive handwriting stimulates brain synapses and synchronicity between the left and right hemispheres, something absent from printing and typing.

I work as a title agent and a lot the older deed and probate records are handwritten in cursive, multiple different types of cursive writing. Jobs like mine need people who can read cursive handwriting and for many many more years to come people will have to look back at these documents and other documents like them to do their jobs. I don’t think they should remove cursive for that reason and many others. Good on TX. I love a cursive letter to read. It’s beautiful & educational. I became one of those beautiful writers because I would see exquisite handwriting & always practised & eventually, I became known for my cursive. Good. I teach it in kinder in my homeschool. I researched cursive writing extensively and the brain development and cognitive benefits are amazing. Dollar stores have a strip to put across the top of the desk to have a visual. To compare while writing. I myself practised my spelling words with writing ten times each. Every day. Handed in each day for grading .two birds with one lesson. Writting& spelling loved getting the A+. On both on Fridays drawing the hands on a clock was a task also. The teacher put on a blackboard the time, you draw the time on clock back side of spelling word test. I 100% agree with this and we are from Texas. My children were able to write in cursive by 1st grade. It not only teaches the child how to formally write things and sign their name; they can also read and comprehend it, which is important when learning about history for instance. Most documents were written in cursive, as they should’ve been. This is progress! I have seen way too many HS graduates who can’t write a coherent sentence in their own handwriting. Our school system is failing the students. Let teachers teach! Cursive is trash. there’s no use for it. nobody writes anything by hand anymore anyway. everything of any importance is typed, a (notarized) signature is what counts & even that doesn’t have to be cursive. my signature is 2 squiggly lines with dots in the general vicinity of where the I’s are. never had a problem. Cursive was actually taught first in Europe for a long time (don’t know what they do now) and is easier to learn from a motor standpoint because it flows instead of all the stops and starts of printing. It also helps kids recognize words since they learn them to recognize them as a one-word unit, instead of as the different letter components of print. Handwriting, in general, is becoming a lost art because kids don’t develop fine motor skills like they used to. It’s a shame because it does help them neurologically and in other 60 years of The Beatles signatures shirt, as well.

Cursive is all my oldest two children know how to write. They both learned it in Kindergarten and I was shocked when I had first heard how they were going to be writing. I thought they were kinda young, but they did it. If kids don’t learn how to write in cursive, they will have a harder time when they get to college. Why? Because they will need to take notes and cursive writing is faster. (Not everyone has a portable recorder — in case you were wondering.)Kids need to know how to read and write in cursive. If not, they will never be able to read historical documents. It should have never left the classroom! I started writing with cursive in Germany many years ago. I always looked at it as drawing. So beautiful compared to printing! And research now shows that cursive writing helps the information to connect to the brain better. It is not only beautiful but also beneficial. Good!! Need more emphasis on penmanship. Cursive should have never been dropped in the 1st place! Our kid’s handwriting is atrocious on their school work!! We constantly tell them it needs to be neater and we won’t let them send homework in sometimes until its fixed…..but the teachers don’t seem to care!! I was surprised to see my grandchildren print their homework! They can’t even write a signature! Let’s go back to reading, writing and arithmetic. It served us well for hundreds of years, and while they’re at it get rid of stupid common core!!
