The Pale Green Pants With Nobody Inside. Who remembers this Dr. Seuss story? One of my sons would giggle and loved this Dr Seuss I will love my Minnesota Vikings here or there everywhere shirt. My other son would say to me “Mommy, and we skip this one and go to Yertle the Turtle instead? This one kind of scares me”  And I just learned that his pen name, Seuss, was meant to be pronounced with the /oi/ sound, like in ‘voice’. Never knew that little tidbit until yesterday! Love his own story…. and love his books.

One of the funniest things I’ve seen was a video of Jesse Jackson reading Green Eggs and Dr Seuss I will love my Minnesota Vikings here or there everywhere shirt Ham and trying to be serious while he did it. It was filmed for the memorial service for Dr. Seuss in Balboa Park, San Diego right after he died. How anyone can read Green Eggs and Ham and be serious about it is beyond me!  I used his books when teaching English As A Second Language to those with little to no English.

I woke thinking of him! The Cat in the Hat and how he talks and acts on the children’s show is just so much like my husband!!! These books have enriched our lives so very much. I used them a lot in my years as a preschool and pre-k teacher. I am such a fan!!!
