He ain’t seen me crazy yet shirt I like to give presents to people to show an appreciation of a job well done. I grab a little something for the bin men, the postman, and my children’s teachers. I don’t feel I have to do it. I don’t do it to compete with others. I do it because I want to. I am also a teacher. I never expect parents to buy me anything but if they do, I am very grateful. I have been teaching many years now and also know a lot of teachers and none of us has ever seen competitive present buying. I also buy all of the children in my class at a Christmas present. I don’t have to do this but I like to do it for all of them.

This is the second year at our school where we have suggested that instead of gifts for the staff, parents can send in items for the local food bank which will be delivered when school closes for the holidays. That’s only if they wish to do so too, so there’s less feeling of pressure to buy gifts. He ain’t seen me crazy yet shirt I was given a cupcake and a handwritten verse from a parent last week and it was more thoughtful than anything else. Why don’t you just stop telling people what they can and can’t do? I buy gifts as a token of my appreciation for looking after my child and teaching them during the day. They get paid yes but that’s not the point. It’s mine and my child’s way of saying thanks for what you do.

I thank everyone I have dealings verbally and sometimes a gift with but these people have my children for the longest time in a day. They deserve thanks in my opinion. This year my 4 years old saw a tiny snow globe and said Miss Duck would like this and he was so excited he wanted her to open it straight away. The fact that he said Happy birthday made it even more special and funny. If you don’t feel comfortable receiving a gift then pass it onto a charity so you can feel good about yourself but please don’t tell me I can’t buy or ask me to donate to a wish list/charity. I do these things too but my thanks are direct to the person who is responsible for my precious little people.
