I stopped reading this when he started in libraries. In my opinion, they’re one of the best things ever. I remember the Bookmobile coming to our rural neighborhood every 2 weeks in summer and how exciting it was for everyone. And the school library in the I just really like Penguins ok shirt where we could get books that our families certainly couldn’t afford to buy. I still use the library, better than a candy store! So just get over yourself, man. No, I don’t, some people never give them back and others give them back in terrible shape. I prefer to recommend or better yet, buy a new one and send it by mail. no, I don’t lend to people anymore. I don’t get the books I lend out back and then I’m annoyed. So I stopped lending altogether. Other people can go to libraries if they wish. I spent my hard earned money on my own books and they shall remain mine.

I lend to my sisters and parents. My mom lent someone my bought-at-midnight copy of the Deathly Hallows without telling me and it’s gone. I had to buy a different copy. Which doesn’t have the dust cover or the memories of going to a bookstore at midnight to play trivia and eat themed food and then going home to promptly read the entire thing (my first all-nighter). So, no. And I have a specific shelf of “books people have lent me” so I don’t lose track.I’m happy to let my close friends borrow books, especially books I loved and want to talk about/share, but I’m still kind of mad about the friend who borrowed both A Wrinkle in Time and Stephen King’s On Writing and then moved away and quit talking to me. And kept the I just really like Penguins ok shirt.

stopped lending books when people stopped returning them. Especially after a neighbor decided that she had the right to lend the book I loaned her, to one of her family members without even asking me. It took me over a year to get it back. Now I will give away books that I won’t read again but I don’t lend my really special books anymore. I take a picture of the person holding the book. I have never had to shame anyone into returning one yet but I could! There are a handful of ones I would never lend out but catch me in the right mood I might give it to you. Too many people assume that you don’t care about the book if you will lend it to them. Either you will never see it again, or if it comes back it does so in damaged condition.
