Maybe a legit “observation” but then again, maybe it is because there are no female artists this year that qualified. Let’s stop basing winners and losers on gender and instead upon the content and quality of their work. Good for her! As a side note, if the songs and new artists who performed tonight are an example of country music I’ll stick to Willie’s Road House XM radio. One group looked like heavy metal, couldn’t understand lyrics on another, just a wasted evening. Garth wasn’t in the running either! The country really isn’t country anymore. Would love to hear some real country. Need to bring back steel guitars back. Really miss that sound. Everything is more pop now. Bring backcountry. Quit putting show ponies in where racehorses belong and you won’t have that problem. Seriously – bro country, pop country, ho country, wanna-be outlaw country, his- country, it’s crap. Kasey Musgrave? FL-GA Line? Nasally Luke Bryan? Take away their trucks, beer, bikinis, and none of them can complete a line in a song. All of then sound almost exactly the same, picked for their look over any actual talent. The problem is nit gender-based: talent, craftsmanship, and innovation are missing.

Nominations should be based on the popularity, sales, talent of the artist. Not based on their gender. Maybe a female artist didn’t have anything good enough to be nominated? Are they supposed to throw a female artist in the group even if it’s not warranted? Don’t answer that. Any sort of award should not take into consideration anyone’s sex, colour, heritage, sexual orientation, religion or anything else that has nothing to do with who is most worthy of the award. That’s because country music is a lost art at the moment. Everything resembling anything good today is Indi and folk. Check out, wild child. She is the best thing close to what the country is. I’m not saying men are better but aren’t the award supposed to go to the best regardless of sex, colour or religion. We see this all the time. No woman is nominated, no blacks are nominated ext. Let’s just nominate the best. I’m not a country music fan, but if your not the best of the best, man or woman, you don’t deserve it just because you’re a woman or a man. So many bleeding heart liberals out there these days. The entertainment industry is very fickle. Just make the green while you can.

You can’t have political correctness all the time, maybe there wasn’t any Female Artist that is deserving this time, makes everyone work harder to get it next time, this is just an observation by the way. They also failed at not recognizing all the people that really tried their very hardest and never mind they lacked talent and they couldn’t take constructive criticism and maybe no one loved them. Everything is awful and no one should ever assimilate like it was in their life. In other words…just stand silently and never move because if you do you are stealing someone’s thoughts. So disappointed in you. I can name you some great songs this year but they were by Male artists. Don’t remember any really outstanding by female artists. Some good, but not outstanding. What has happened to our world.? So maybe they’ll categorize by the best male, best female in every category. That’s taking things too far. CMT & CMA are going to go the way of the Hollywood weirdos with people boycotting their attaboys. I love Reba but honestly speaking as a woman I just don’t think most of the women put out as good music. I’ll probably take some heat for that but it’s my honest option. Not to mention the fact that this is NOT country music artists they are “awarding” tonight. Perhaps this year there wasn’t a stand out female performer. Sounds like Reba is suffering from the same mental illness that afflicted another group that claimed the Oscars weren’t nominating enough black films. If you have to be PC in nominating an artist or film, then it destroys the credibility of the process.
