I was just thinking about unused portions of food. Just moments ago, I now get pissed off from seeing a moderate amount of food goes in the garbage per plate. All that food going into the garbage could have fed more people. Especially at schools or other mass of people. My own family made me develop this food anger because I would often see a good amount of food uneaten sitting on the table. Sometimes the youngest ones would hardly touch their foods and be playing on the phones all the time, only to complain that they want a snack once it’s bedtime. It’s a wonderful idea but doesn’t think that many parents won’t take the meals from the child for themselves and the child will still go hungry. Too many children have told me what happens to the “backpack blessing program” we have where food is sent home for them to have during the weekend. I’m surprised they are allowed to do that. Restaurants aren’t allowed to give their leftovers to the shelters because of fear of lawsuits if someone gets sick from it. This is AMAZING! I hope other schools do the same! I wish schools had Jane/John Doe lunch accounts that people could donate to and then kids that have no money can still eat! 1 in 6 children are going hungry …. but the Democrats don’t want to spend billions on them. They are wasting good money on illegals just to spite the president and our country! Just keep doing these things. In Denver, they installed washer & dryers to wash students clothes. The students wouldn’t come to school they were ashamed of their dirty clothes. Why are these kids hungry? There are food stamps. Dysfunction at home? Theft of tax services for the poor? Treating the effect without changing the cause is not going to help this situation long term.

At first things first, I think this is awesome of the school. It’s better than the food being thrown away and it’s a great cause. But this continues to show how broken our government is that a school is taking matters into their own hands. Finally! Many years ago when I lived in Central FL. My mother told me that the Principal of the elementary school there would send home leftover cafeteria food to students who he knew had no food at home. I always questioned why this wasn’t being done statewide. Better than putting it in the dumpster. Hopefully, it doesn’t become an even bigger excuse not to try and make a better life for themselves and their family. This should be done everywhere. We shouldn’t be throwing out good food. Let the kids have it for supper that night or a homeless shelter or soup kitchen. This should be done everywhere. We shouldn’t be throwing out good food. Let the kids have it for supper that night or a homeless shelter or soup kitchen. I am so sorry but I think it is a good ideal, I got fired from an elementary school for giving food to children that didn’t have money to pay and the school knew this too, I was not to do that on a number of times, but the reason I kept feeding the little peoples is because, the food was being thrown away and I didn’t mind being fired, because at the end of my day they ate.

Yes, it really is shameful in this day and age that some children still go hungry! And in other countries, they walk miles just for clean water?! What sort of Governments still allow this to happen? Wonder if it will ever change Pray it does for all that need help desperately! Good idea!!! Cafeteria throws out their left overs every day!!! That food could feed the homeless every day even. As a nurse working in the school system, I am just taken aback by the waste I see every single day!!!! I wonder why no one has done anything to stop this waste of resource. Imagine if the same could be done after hours at restaurants and bakeries. The homeless shelters and soup kitchens could be a great drop off place for a surplus of each day. If the food is going in the trash. Why not give it to the kids…. all these comments about undeserving parents. Just look out for the kids ….who cares if they get tattoos or hair and nails done. Shame on them neglecting their kids. At the end of the day, they should be ashamed of themselves.
