What a charming guy, you can see his kindness in his actions and hear his gentleness in his voice. Sometimes just talking to an elderly person in the shop or street brightens their day, I do it all the time and enjoy seeing a smile from them. These gentlemen are benefitting from a pleasurable human touch and interaction with a younger man who has come to visit them. Wow, look at their faces. The biggest smiles you’ll see for a while and to think that this selfless act from Lenny can make these men feel special, even for a short time. To hear them talk to someone who’ll listen obviously allows them to feel important for those few minutes.
It’d bring a tear to a glass eye to watch these sometimes forgotten people get spoiled by a little care and attention from such a great Wine tasting in my sport shirt. A fabulous act Lenny and long may you continue to do it.

I’m a barber/owner and I do house calls when my client is not well enough to come in. It gets me out and makes them feel good. I had a lady client come in and asked me to shave her hair all off. She had stage 4 cancer. When I was done she asked me how much and I said nothing. How could It was a blessing to her and myself. God bless this barber for how he made them gentlemen feel. The hairdresser in the nursing home did my Wine tasting in my sport shirt a couple of weeks before she died even though she was bedridden they managed to wash and cut her hair you could see her really enjoying it. They were so kind and gentle. They had a proper little salon in the reception area where the more able ones could go. In her previous care home, one of the ladies used to paint their nails and give mini manicures too!

Wish more people had a carry of a heart as you. My brother had dementia, and his children put him into a nursing facility and never returned to visit him, They used the excuse we want to remember him the way he was before. When I learned this I traveled 4 hrs to see my brother, who always wore a flat-top haircut, His hair was down to his shoulders, and the nurses told me I was his first visitor in 3 years, We ordered him a haircut immediately, and a shave, After that first visit we went back monthly for 8 years, the last visit I found my brother in a fetal position, with raspy breath and knew the signs, so I called a Priest to minister him his last rights. Every visit was always bittersweet as he never knew who I was or why I was there but when I spoke our parent’s names His eyes glimmered and he looked me in the eye. I knew and that I was doing the right thing by him. Leon I shall forever remember the love we shared and sorrow of losing you, as you lived your last 8 years in a world in which you were lost, Rest in peace Brother!
